Memorandum of Understanding between Remedy & Company Corporation and Mahidol University, Thailand ~ Effort to accomplish the 100 Days mission in the area of Infectious Disease ~

We are pleased to announce that Remedy & Company Corporation (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Founder and CEO Masakuni Ukita and hereinafter referred to as “Remedy & Company” ) has concluded a Memorandum of Agreement with Mahidol University, a national university in Thailand, regarding the work to accomplish the 100 Days mission, the conduction of Controlled Human Infection Model (CHIM) study, and the implementation of clinical trials originated in Japan in Thailand with tropical diseases as the main focus.

CHIM study is a clinical trial method for the evaluation of vaccines and therapeutics on a smaller scale and within a shorter period in comparison to traditional method. And it has been becoming increasingly popular in Europe, the United States of America, and some Asian countries. With accomplishment of our “100 Days mission” as the main focus of our company, we believe that the CHIM study method is crucial in achieving such goal. Understanding that the Mahidol University is internationally acclaimed in its pioneering work on CHIM study in the field of infectious diseases in Asia, we proceeded to conclude an MOU with them.

With our experience in conducting clinical trials in countries starting from Asia to other ones such as South Asia, South America and Africa, through collaboration with Mahidol University, Remedy & Company will work to let the world know about CHIM study and its high ethical standards, and thereby help devise a systematic method for rapid development of safe and effective vaccines and treatments for infectious diseases, ultimately achieving our 100 Days mission.
